In a move aimed at improving access and transparency, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has officially sunset its long-standing Climate.gov platform. All climate-related research, tools, and educational content have now moved to a new page: NOAA.gov/climate.
This change comes in accordance with Executive Order 14303, Restoring Gold Standard Science. An order signed in May this year to reinforce the integrity of climate communication, due to the “confidence that scientists act in the best interests of the public has fallen significantly.”
NOAA announced the transition in its final update via Climate.gov and its various social media platforms, stating the decision was made to centralize and consolidate climate resources within the broader NOAA framework.
