Nixa Council to Decide on Airbnb Operation Later this Month

The fate of an Airbnb operating without a permit in Nixa is now in the hands of the City Council.

According to a "KOLR-10 Investigates" report from Ozarks First, the business has been operating in a residential neighborhood since April. City of Nixa Communications Director Drew Douglas tells Ozarks First that they have been aware of the business operating and have not fined the owners as they go through the process of applying for a special permit.

Residents of the neighborhood have been voicing their feelings against the proposal citing concerns about safety and people coming in and out during the overnight hours.

The council is expected to decide on whether to approve the permit at their meeting coming up next Monday.

More details on the story can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
