Schmitt commented on Yartz’s promotion. “We are ecstatic to witness the progression of Greg Yartz. He always goes above and beyond for our community,” Schmitt said.

He also expressed excitement for the new employees and overall thankfulness for support. “We are also excited to be adding to our family. Our agency is very grateful for the continued support of the city leadership, Board of Aldermen and community during this nationwide law enforcement recruiting shortage. We are optimistic that our recent pay increase adjustment will help us turn a corner to be able to fill all open positions,” Schmitt said.

The press release also outlines what else is included in this event. Branson Mayor Larry Milton and Schmitt will make remarks. It also states that swearing in and badge pinning by “loved ones” will occur.
