New development to create Disney and sports projects

New development projects whose developers claim could bring almost $39 million into the city earned first reading approval from the Branson Board of Aldermen to have the mayor execute a reimbursement agreement.

The two projects will be working in conjunction with the city for the tax breaks as “Philcrest Properties,” consisting of Branson Mill, LLC, and Heartland Center, LLC. According to a city staff report, Branson Mill, LLC could be replaced by another company formed by Rob Phillips, and Heartland Center, LLC could be replaced by another company formed by Rob Phillips and Mammoth Construction. Phillips, a Tulsa-based developer, is the man who built the Branson Mill. Mammoth Construction has built a number of sports facilities, including a recent Springfield sports complex project.

The first is the “Disney Immersive Experience” which would take the location currently occupied by Big Air Trampoline Park at 3300 Gretna Road in the Branson Mill area. The estimated $5.8 million project will be a 29,500 square foot facility which will…  The second project, the “Mammoth Fieldhouse”, will be located adjacent to the Branson Mill facility, and would be a 42,000 square foot facility that is built from the ground up.
