A green space area with historic significance opens in Ozark.
Earlier this week, a ribbon cutting was held at the Garrison Springs Community Forest, which features a scenic walking trail, a platform for the springs, and an outdoor green space.
During the ceremony covered by Ozarks First, Ozark Parks Director Hayden Ponsar talked about the history of the area going back to the 1850's and how the springs would help supply water to the steam trains that came through the region. Others also commented on the importance of keeping this area in its natural ecosystem for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The full feature can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
