A vehicle hits a rock bluff, catches fire and kills two people as well as leading to several other accidents on Highway 65 at Saddlebrooke Tuesday morning.
According to a post from the Taney County Ambulance District, they along with Western Taney County Fire, Highlandville Fire, Ozark Fire, Christian County Ambulance District, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Taney County Sheriff, Christian County Sheriff and MoDOT responded to the scene on northbound 65.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Mike McClure tells Ozarks First that two people died when their northbound SUV went off the right side of the road, crashed into a rock bluff wall and caught fire.
The crash caused a major traffic back-up which led to three other crashes that led to minor to moderate injuries to several people including from both the Branson and Harrison areas.
An official crash report on the vehicle fire has yet to be released by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
