The Missouri State Highway Patrol works a pair of crashes in Barry County, one fatal with the other resulting in serious injuries.
The fatality crash happened Friday afternoon around 4:15 on a Farm Road north of Seligman when a man from Horatio, Arkansas lost control of his vehicle traveling off the roadway and striking an embankment. The man, not identified in the report, was pronounced dead at the scene.
About 24 hours later, another crash in Barry County resulted in serious injuries for the juvenile driver, also not identified in the report. This crash occurred in Shell Knob when the 11 year-old male driver lost control of a dirt bike and crashed in the middle of the road. The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital in Rogers for treatment of his injuries.
