The Missouri State Highway Patrol works a pair of crashes in the Lakes Region late Friday afternoon.
The first occurred just after 4:00 on Highway 76 west of Reeds Spring when a 17-year-old male from Cape Fair failed to negotiate a curve while driving a pick-up truck westbound leaving the roadway and striking several trees. The driver was treated for minor injuries at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
The other crash occurred just before 6:00 on Highway 65 a mile south of Hollister when a car driven by a 48-year-old Harrison woman was pulling onto the highway and failed to yield to a Mack Truck driven by a 58-year-old man from the east central Missouri community of High Ridge. That driver sustained minor injuries and was also transported to Cox South for treatment of his injuries.
