A woman has died in a traffic crash Wednesday afternoon.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Highway 60 near Verona when a vehicle driven by 48-year-old Jennifer Ross of Monett crossed the centerline and collided with a Freightliner Truck. Ross was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin. The driver of the truck was not reported as injured.
This is the 47th fatality in traffic accidents worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2024.
