KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe has signed House Bill 1, which includes the “Missouri First” redrawn congressional district map on Sunday afternoon, his office announced.
According to Gov. Kehoe, House Bill 1, which redistricts Missouri’s congressional districts, splits fewer counties and municipalities compared to the current map, preserves two districts as they’re currently drawn and retains every member of Missouri’s congressional delegation.
However, opponents of redistricting in Missouri argued that the revised map targets Representative Emanuel Cleaver’s seat.
