The Missouri Seasons for Paddle Fishing and Turkey Hunting are winding down.
Kearby Bridges, one of the Stone County Agents for the Missouri Department of Conservation, reminds people during this week's MDC Podcast that Saturday is the last day for catching Paddle Fish while Turkey Season continues through May 8th. Bridges says that both seasons have been slower than in the past due to weather and other factors. Bridges did say that while fishing overall has been slow, more consistent temperatures should help elevate the conditions going into May.
Bridges also reminds area residents about not interfering with what appears to be Orphaned Wildlife which in most cases is not as well as reminders that bears and snakes are beginning to appear more in the region.
