The next phases of the overhaul of the 76 Strip took another step forward on Wednesday, Jan. 31, when a proposed design was presented to the 76 Entertainment CID board at Branson City Hall.
Jerany Jackson of Great River Engineering showed design concepts to the members of the board, along with several city leaders and local business owners, and gave a full presentation of the “master plan” for the project.
“This is a mile long, so it’s a long corridor,” Jackson said.
The project is designed not only to beautify the area from the west end of the strip to the Branson Ferris Wheel, but also to further control traffic and increase safe pedestrian traffic.
“[We are] changing this road that was once a highway, now into a city street, and now into a complete street which addresses people getting out there walking on those sidewalks,” Jackson said.
