Man Wanted in Howell County Suspect in Taney County Crime

A suspect on the run is now wanted for a crime committed in the Lakes Region.

According to posts from multiple law enforcement agencies, the latest crime allegedly committed by 32-year-old Adam Bartlett, Jr. was the stealing of a red dually truck from Taney County near the Ozark County Line.

Bartlett made his way to Taney County after he led law enforcement on a high speed chase Friday with a vehicle stolen from West Plains that started in Bakersfield in Ozark Country, moved into northern Arkansas, then back into Ozark County and eventually into Taney County, where he escaped apprehension but the vehicle was recovered. 

The vehicle Bartlett is alleged to have stolen while in Taney County is a 2001 Red Dodge Ram Dually 4x4 equipped with a Deweze Flatbed.

1. Stealing, Resisting, Active Felony Warrant for Parole Violation *UPDATED
2. At approximately 15:33 hours the Howell County Sheriff’s Office received a call to report stealing at a convenience store in the West Plains area. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the suspect was wanted for a parole violation and was driving a stolen vehicle. The suspect was identified as Adam D. Bartlett Jr, white male, age 32.
3. The West Plains Police Department located the vehicle near State Route 14 and US Highway 63 in West Plains. A pursuit ensued. Deputies pursued the suspect until he crashed the vehicle in the Caulfield area near the intersection of County Road 7830 and US Highway 160. This is the area where Bartlett was last seen.
4. The stolen vehicle was recovered. Bartlett has not yet been located.
5. NEW INFORMATION - On October 6, 2023 Bartlett lead law enforcement officers on a chase that started in Bakersfield and went through Northern Arkansas, and Ozark and Taney Counties. Bartlett was not apprehended however the black SUV he stole from West Plains was recovered. It is believed that Bartlett stole a red Dodge Ram 3500 flatbed pickup while in Taney County. A picture of the vehicle is attached. The pickup bears the Missouri registration of 37H4BN.

We are actively seeking information regarding a stolen vehicle from Taney County near the Ozark County line and the suspect involved. Details are as follows:

- Vehicle: 2001 Red Dodge Ram Dually 4x4

- Distinct Feature: Equipped with a Deweze flatbed

- Last Seen: Heading west on US 160 towards Reuter

**SUSPECT:** Adam D Bartlett Jr., 32, white male. He was involved in the Howell County manhunt earlier this week. Bartlett has stolen several vehicles recently and has led law enforcement from agencies including Howell County, Baxter County, Arkansas State Police, and Ozark County on high-speed pursuits exceeding 110 mph.

There is a likelihood that the suspect will attempt to return to the Caulfield and Bakersfield areas of Howell County and Ozark County.
