Lt. Governor attends Veterans Village ceremony

A ceremony was held at Veterans Village at Ballparks of America on Wednesday, Nov 8., to debut a special version of a book by an Oklahoma veteran translated into Braille.

The transcription of the book “Lucky Enough” by Eddie Beesley into braille was presented during the ceremony to Branson Mayor Larry Milton on behalf of the Legends Project in the Day Room at Veterans Village. The ceremony not only was attended by veterans from across the country but also state dignitaries like Missouri Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe.

“Now Branson, and I go to a lot of cities across the state for Veterans Day activities, and Branson really hits it out of the park,” Kehoe said. “I met folks from Mississippi, Michigan, Arkansas, all across our state. We’ve been coming here for years and it’s because Branson does it right. All the heroes here today mean so much to me.”
