The intense heat that has characterized the early part of September is about to end in the Lakes Region.
Heat Advisories are in place for all of the Lakes Region with temperatures expected to be around 100 and Heat Index readings around 110.
A front will move through late this afternoon bringing the chance of isolated rain and much cooler temperatures, with highs only in the upper 80s on Thursday.
Scattered showers remain in the forecast over the next four days with highs back into the 90s.
