Kirbyville School Director Wins State Award

The Kirbyville School District Director of Nutrition wins an award from an organization of her peers.

Patti Turner is named as the Director of the Year by the Missouri School Nutrition Association, a state organization that according to their website is made up of school nutrition professionals committed to advancing the quality of school meal programs through education and advocacy.

The Director of the Year award recognizes school nutrition directors for the contributions they have made throughout their school nutrition career according to the website.

A statement from the MSNA made to the Branson Tri-Lakes News says Turner won the award due to her pursuit of grants to purchase equipment and her efforts in getting strong participation in the program from the school.

Turner has been with the Kirbyville School District for 27 years.
