Johnny Morris Ranks in Forbes List of Richest Americans

The founder of Bass Pro Shops once again is ranked in Forbes Magazine List of Richest Americans.

The magazine's 2021 ranking lists Johnny Morris as 134th in the Forbes list of the 400 Richest Americans with a net worth at around $6.9 billion. Morris, who founded Bass Pro Shops in 1972, has developed many other businesses over the years including the White River Marine Group boat manufacturing company. 

Besides the Bass Pro Shops location in Branson, Morris other properties in the Lakes Region include Big Cedar Lodge and Big Cedar Golf, the Bass Pro Shooting Academy in Ridgedale, Anglers Lodge and Tall Tales Restaurant in Hollister, and Dogwood Canyon in Stone County. Morris and his group also is in the process of redeveloping the former Dogpatch, USA Property south of Harrison.
