Jennifer Thompson Recognized at Branson Board of Aldermen Meeting

Jennifer Thompson from the Branson Utilities Department was recognized as Employee of the Month during Tuesday evening’s Board of Aldermen Meeting.

Alderman Bill Skains presented Thompson with the award. “It is my privilege to announce that the City of Branson’s “Service and Excellence” Employee of the Month award for January 2022, is going to Utilities Water Treatment Electrician, Jennifer Thompson. This award is to recognize employees who have gone above and beyond, and whose performance exemplifies the City of Branson values,” Skains said.

Skains said she was nominated for the award “because of her exceptional ability to give 120% every day no matter the situation” and that Thompson “consistently goes above and beyond by proactively looking for ways to help and contribute when her own tasks are complete. She also goes out of her way to help our residents. The Utilities Department even received a call from a citizen thanking us for Jennifer's helpfulness and her hard work ethic.” Skains added that “that is major right there.”

“On behalf of the Mayor, Board of Aldermen, City Administrator, and City staff, it is my honor to announce Jennifer Thompson as the City of Branson’s January 2022, “Service and Excellence” Employee of the Month.” Skains congratulated Thompson and told her to keep up the good work.

Thompson made some remarks which can be heard online.
