Hundreds Turn Out to Say Hi to NBC's "Today Show"

Several hundred people turned out at the intersection of Commercial and Main Streets in Downtown Branson to be a part of a segment on a national TV Show.

NBC's "Today Show" featured Branson as a part of the "Merriest Main Street" segment that airs during the month of December. The segment, produced locally by KY-3 and hosted by News Anchor Emily Pritchard, ran around three minutes and featured pictures of the scene from downtown, some shot before sunrise to get the full Christmas lighting impact.

Pritchard visited with  Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Heather Herman, who talked about the highlights of Christmas in Downtown Branson and beyond and mentioned the recent winners in two USA Today Polls, Big Cedar Lodge for Best Holiday Hotel and Silver Dollar City as Best Holiday Theme Park.

Many groups and businesses from around the Ozarks made the trip to Branson to be a part of the festivities.

Josh Clark from KRZK's "The Upside" program was in the crowd this morning and took the pictures below:
