A house in Forsyth is gutted by fire early Wednesday morning.
According to a Facebook post from the Forsyth Fire Department, units were dispatched to the scene of the fire on Sante Fe Drive just after 3:00 am and discovered a two-story structure where fire had already vented through the roof and attic.
The fire was brought under control in about an hour with Forsyth Firefighters getting Mutual Aid assistance from the Central and Western Taney County Fire Districts. Fire units remained on the scene until around 11:00 that morning.
The residents of the home were able to escape the fire with three being treated on scene and one taken by Taney County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
Empire Electric, the Red Cross, and the Taney County Sheriff’s Office also assisted on the scene.
