The City of Hollister sees another change in their city government.
Ward One Alderman David Honey announced his resignation during last week's Hollister Board of Aldermen meeting. Honey had served on the board since first being elected in 2010. In remarks during the meeting announcing his resignation covered by the Branson Tri-Lakes News, Honey said his resignation was due to his family moving outside the Hollister City Limits.
Mayor Jeff Long, who himself assumed that role with the resignation of Lamar Patton earlier this year to transition into the City Administrator's Role, appointed and the Board approved the appointment of Brian Richards to replace Honey. Richards will serve until the next municipal election in April of 2026.
