SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — With summer in full motion and the weather getting hotter, your electronic devices may be in danger of overheating.
Whether you are using your smartphone or just setting it to the side, prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause permanent damage and force it to shut down.
According to an AT&T representative, here are some tips for keeping your phone cool this summer:
- Avoid leaving your phone in the sun or on hot surfaces, like a car dashboard.
- Avoid intensive activities like gaming, video streaming, or using a GPS, which can heat your phone faster.
- Remove the case, if possible, as it can trap heat.
