The National Weather Service has issued Heat Advisories for much of the region for the rest of the week.
Currently, the Heat Advisory does include all of the Missouri Lakes Region Counties of Barry, Stone, Taney, and Ozark. High Temperatures are expected to be around 100 while Heat Index Readings could reach 108 according to forecasters.
Currently, the area Arkansas Counties including Boone, Carroll, Madison, Marion, Newton, and Searcy are not under an advisory, temperatures are expected in the upper 90’s to around 100.
Officials advise people to be cautious during the day keeping hydrated and limiting strenuous outside activities.
