Hathaway: Moving Forward with Plans for New Boone County Courthouse

Boone County Judge Robert Hathaway talks about the future new Courthouse Building as well as trying to handle higher fuel costs for county vehicles.

During a visit Tuesday to KHOZ's "Around the Table" program, Hathaway discussed the planning process to eventually move county offices to the First Presbyterian Church Building on Arbor Drive . Hathaway hopes to have architects on site to begin looking at redesigning the building within the next month. Hathaway also says they are working on a plan on how to continue using the existing courthouse building on the Harrison square. 

Hathaway also discussed the challenge of handling higher fuel costs for county vehicles and projects. Hathaway says the amount spent on fuel is already close to what was budgeted for the year.
