Two events in one day will take place at the Harrison Country Club as part of city's 150th Birthday Celebration.

Donna Braymer and Emily Powers of the Harrison 150 Committee stopped by KHOZ's "Around the Table" program Monday to discuss the upcoming events which also is in conjunction with the country club's 100th Anniversary.

Both events will take place on June 6 starting with 150 Gala Dinner at 6:00. The event, one of the first announced by the committee, will honor several businesses including Cavender Seasoning, Fed-Ex Freight, Mass Merchandisers, Miller Hardware, Pippin Wholesale along with longtime Harrison Daily News Reporter/Photographer Lee Dunlap. Braymer added that they hope to honor other businesses and individuals that have had a longtime impact in the community later in the year. Powers said tickets for the gala can be purchased on the Harrison Chamber of Commerce Website.

Braymer added that the Harrison Country Club wanted to host a second event for the community which is the Encore Celebration that will begin after the gala at 7:30. The country club facilities including the pickle ball courts, putting green, and swimming pool will be open to the public for the evening. There is no charge for that event and the public is invited whether they are or are not attending the gala.
