H2Ozarks Gets Grant for Program in Buffalo River Watershed

A local group that is helping keep water clear throughout the region is extending one of their programs into the Buffalo River Watershed.

H2 Ozarks will receive just under $70,000 from the Buffalo River Conservation Committee to extend their septic system remediation program the organization is conducting in the Arkansas and Missouri Lakes Region into the Buffalo River Watershed.

Senior Policy and Program Director for H2 Ozarks Erin Scott made the proposal at the conservation committee meeting held in Marshall on Tuesday. The program from H2 Ozarks would extend their program into Mill Creek, which runs along Highway 7 staring in Boone County and eventually links up with the Buffalo National River near Pruitt.

The video of the entire meeting can be found on the Arkansas PBS YouTube Channel.
