Groundbreaking Ceremonies are held for a project in Downtown Branson.
Several Stakeholders were on hand at the Compton Wastewater Treatment Plant for the official start of construction of a Flood Wall to give the plant extra protection in the event waters should rise in nearby Lake Taneycomo. During the ceremonies, several city officials stated the importance of protecting the plant that provides sewage treatment for approximately 80% of Branson residents and businesses.
The project will cost around $13 million which is entirely funded by a series of federal and state grants.
Construction of the wall by KCI Construction Company is expected to take around 15 months.
