Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe announces his decision on the appointment of a new Commissioner for Stone County.
In a press release Friday announcing a total of eight appointments statewide, Kehoe tabs Gordon Weathers of Reeds Spring to fill the Stone County Presiding Commissioner vacancy created with the resignation of Mark Maples in July. Weathers currents sits on the Reeds Spring Board of Education and is also a past member of the Reeds Spring Board of Aldermen.
Weathers will be sworn into office at the next Stone County Commission Meeting scheduled for Monday.
