The City of Forsyth has seen changes this week as their Police Chief announces his resignation as well as a possible impeachment of a city official.
A meeting notice posted by the city indicates a Special Meeting is being held at 4:00 this afternoon. One of the items on the agenda is to accept the resignation of police chief. At the regular monthly meeting on Monday, Pat Gray announced his resignation effective November 7, just short of three years since he took over the department in 2022.
Meanwhile a another item on the agenda is to discuss with an attorney the cost of an impeachment process. At the Monday meeting, Ward Two Aldermen Dennis Winzenried said that the board is looking at an impeachment process though no official was named during his comments. Social media posts indicate that the official in question is Mayor Julie AuBuchon, who was elected to the position in April.
The meeting this afternoon will take place at Forsyth City Hall.
