An accident on private property east of Taneyville has claimed the life of a man from Forsyth.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:40 Wednesday afternoon when the 72-year-old man was driving an ATV in tall grass when it went off an embankment and overturned onto a creek bed. The man was pronounced dead at the scene while a 61-year-old man from Forsyth who was a passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
This is the 112th Fatality in crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2025.
