Although a round of Severe Thunderstorms did make their way through the Lakes Region on Thursday, Heavy Rains have been the primary issue as Flooding has been reported.
The National Weather Service received reports from people around Hollister that three to four inches of rain fell causing some flooding along Turkey Creek.
MODOT reports this morning that several roads were still closed in Stone County due to flooding including Highway 413 near Elsey, Highway V near Ponce De Leon, and Highways A and CC around Hurley. Also, Highway 95 at Bryant Creek near the Douglas/Ozark County Line is closed as are Highways 97 and C in Barry County.
Flood Warnings remain in effect for the Missouri Lakes Region including the Branson, Kimberling City, and Cassville areas until mid-morning. The forecast is for dry and cooler conditions over the next three days with the next chance of rain coming on Memorial Day.
