The first fatality crash of 2026 in the Lakes Region is reported in northern Arkansas Friday.
According to the report by the Arkansas State Police, the crash occurred in Madison County on Highway 412 near Hindsville, when the driver of a Sprint Scooter, 77-year-old Jan Dixon of Fayetteville, was attempting to make a turn and failed to yield to an oncoming vehicle and collided killing Dixon.
The conditions were cloudy and wet at the time of the crash, the first reported by the Arkansas State Police this year.
