Firefighters Deal with Blaze near Hollister

Firefighters make quick work of a house fire near Hollister Saturday evening.

According to a post by the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, firefighters were dispatched to Wisconsin Road where they discovered fire shooting out of the roof of the garage area of the house. Due to lack of fire hydrants in water was drafted out of Lake Taneycomo to battle the blaze which was contained to the attic of the garage area. 

The fire was ruled to have started due to electrical wiring in the attic and accidental in nature. No one was at home at the time of the blaze and no one was injured in battling the blaze.
