Silver Dollar City closes for the season on Saturday with one of their most iconic rides welcoming its final guests.
“Fire in the Hole”, which originally opened in 1972, will shutdown for the final time at the close of the park on Saturday. According to releases from SDC, selected riders who were chosen through special social media contests, will be the final public riders on the roller coaster Saturday evening. Special events will be going on around the attraction leading up to the closing of the park for the season at 10:00 Saturday Evening.
The Roller Coaster will be replaced by a brand new “Fire in the Hole” coaster will open in 2024.
