The latest information from the U.S. Drought Monitor Shows the Missouri side of the Lakes Region holding at steady levels with drought back on the increase in northern Arkansas.
The latest map from the monitor shows most of southern Missouri including the Branson area at a Moderate Level with areas just Abnormally Dry.
In Arkansas however, areas south and east of Harrison are back in an Extreme Level while the rest of the region remains at a Severe Drought Level. Low water levels and damage to early season crops continue in those areas.
The Lakes Region does have a chance of some heavy rain over the next 24 hours, which could help stabilize conditions in the region.
