The latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows the Lakes Region in a holding pattern.
In Missouri, Moderate Drought Conditions continue in the Branson area including all of Taney, Stone, and Ozark Counties along with northeastern Barry County. Other areas of Barry County including Roaring River State Park are currently not at any Drought Level.
Meanwhile in Arkansas, areas north and east from Harrison are in an Abnormally Dry to Moderate Drought Range while areas south and west are not. Counties currently in Drought include all of Marion County as well as most of Boone and Searcy Counties along with northeastern Carroll County. The remainder of Carroll as well as all of Madison and Newton Counties are drought free.
Little to any rain is in the forecast for the next week according to the National Weather Service.
