The heavy rain at the end of October has brought levels of drought down in both Arkansas and Missouri.
The latest information released Thursday by the US Drought Monitor is that areas northeast of an Oak Grove to Harrison to Western Grove line are at an Abnormally Dry to Moderate Drought Level while areas southwest of that line are not at any drought level.
In Missouri, the rain has ended the Extreme Drought conditions though Severe Drought remains in areas north of a Kimberling City to Branson to Protem lines while other areas are at an Abnormally Dry to Moderate Drought Level.
The long-range forecast calls for little to any rain in the region over the next week.
