Derges Trial Day Two

File Photo

The case against Missouri State Representative Tricia Derges moved into Day Two on Tuesday with the Prosecution beginning their case.

Prosecuting attorneys called five witnesses Tuesday. Many of those witnesses spoke about finances, addressing the fraud allegations against Derges. The jury also heard from an FBI agent who investigated the case and from an expert from Dynamic DNA.

Derges is accused of scheming victims from 2018 to 2020, illegally prescribing narcotics, and lying to federal agents.

Other charges allege that Derges sold fake stem cell treatments at medical clinics she operates in Springfield, Branson, and Ozark – a scheme totaling about $200,000.

More on the trial can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
