Current Forsyth Board Member Looks to Become Mayor

A current member of the Forsyth Board of Aldermen may be the town's next mayor.

Current Ward One Representative Missi Hesketh, who returned to the Board of Aldermen last April after a previous four-year stint, signed up for the Mayor's Position being vacated by Kelly Dougherty who decided not to seek reelection. Hesketh will be the only name on the ballot and will run unopposed barring a person deciding to seek the office as a write-in candidate.

The same is true for the two Aldermen Positions up for election as the incumbents have both signed-up for reelection, Scott Novak in Ward One and Dennis Winzenried in Ward Two.

A person would be appointed to finish out Hesketh's term as Ward One Aldermen if she is successful in the Mayor's Race.

The Missouri Municipal Election Date will be on Tuesday April 4th.
