Crane Selected as First Sight for New Steel Pipe Storage Business in Missouri

A company that specializes in steel pipe storage and trans-loading hub has selected a Stone County location for their first facility in Missouri.

According to a press release from the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Roundhouse Services and Storage LLC selected Crane after already running successful businesses in Arkansas, Kentucky, and Montana. Officials with the company worked with the Springfield Chamber as well as the city's Business Development Corporation to locate a suitable site. After touring the region, they brought together the City of Crane along with the Missouri Department of Economic Development and the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce to continue the process. 

The site is 30 acres in size which will hold a 25,000 square foot building. The release goes on to say that 10 jobs will be created along with a $400,000 initial investment with future expansion possible. 

“We are thrilled that Roundhouse Service and Storage chose Crane to locate their new facility,” said Sheila Thomas, President/CEO of Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce in a statement to Ozarks Dynacom. “This will mean new, year-round jobs in Stone County, and the potential for exciting new opportunities in Crane. We were happy to assist in this project, and look forward to its positive impact in Stone County.”

Roundhouse Services and Storage LLC selected Crane, Missouri in the Springfield region to locate operations on a 30-acre site, investing $400,000 in an existing 25,000 square foot building and creating 10 jobs with the ability to grow into the future.

Prior to hosting Roundhouse leadership for a regional tour, Chamber and SBDC staff worked with the broker representing the company to find the right site. During their visit to the region, the Chamber/SBDC brought together the City of Crane, Missouri Department of Economic Development, and Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce to provide additional state and community overviews.

The company will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation.
