A man from Stone County has died in a single-vehicle crash near Sarcoxie in Newton County.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around Midnight Friday morning when the 25-year-old driver of a SUV lost control of his vehicle and went off the road and struck a fence then crossed back to the other side of the road striking another fence before overturning. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Newton County Coroner Jerry Deems.
This is the 19th fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2026.
