A Christian County Man has died in a traffic crash in northern Taney County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Accident Report, the crash took place just after 7:00 Tuesday evening on Highway 65 when a northbound motorcycle driven by 56-year-old James Turk of Ozark went off the left side of the roadway, overturned, then crossed the southbound lanes before striking a guardrail. Turk was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the Taney County Coroner’s Office.
This is the 66th fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2024.
