The biggest economic impact event for the City of Cassville is next week.
The annual opening of the Missouri Trout Season at the State Parks including nearby Roaring River brings thousands of visitors to take part in the opening hours of the season.
Morgan Williams, Director of the Cassville Chamber of Commerce, says during an interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program that many of the visitors to the park at some point spend money on food, lodging, and supplies in Cassville and the surrounding area. Williams says the Chamber will give away mugs of coffee while they last beginning at 5:00 am next Wednesday at the entrance to the park prior to the opening gun sounding for the beginning of the season at around 6:30 am.
