Carson: Accepting Our History Important Part of Learning From It

The final day of the National Symposium of Patriotic Education featured a variety of speakers talking about the importance of learning about the country.

One of the speakers on Friday was Dr. Ben Carson, who was a Presidential Candidate in 2016 and eventually served in President Donald Trumps Cabinet as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. In his opening remarks, Dr. Carson discusses the dangers of the current trend of purging reminders of our past history from public display.

Other speakers that took part in the two day symposium included former Press Secretary for President Trump Sarah Huckabee Sanders and former Vice-President Mike Pence.

The symposium was held at College of the Ozarks through The William S. Knight Center for Patriotic Education, which plans on more patriotic education initiatives and kits to be developed according to a release from the school.
