A recent operation coordinated by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office called Operation Watchtower was aimed at verifying that registered sex offenders were complying with registration laws.
According to a release by Sheriff Daniel Klatt, the operation resulted in 13 arrests of individuals not complying with the sex offender laws while a person not related to the sting was discovered to be in possession of methamphetamine and was also arrested.
Among local agencies assisting in the operation were the Carroll County Emergency Management and Prosecuting Attorney Offices as well as the Eureka Springs and Harrison Police Departments.
