Information has been released by the Arkansas State Police on a two-vehicle crash that killed one and injured another person in Carroll County.
The crash occurred just after 11:00 am on November 1 in Green Forest at the intersection of State Highway 103 and Carroll County Road 717 when a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Peyton Dodson of Huntsville attempted to move into a lane on the roadway occupied by a vehicle driven by 59-year-old John Fortenberry of Elkins. Dodson's vehicle hit Fortenberry's vehicle on the passenger side forcing both vehicles off the roadway.
Dodson died in the crash while Fortenberry was taken to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison for treatment of injuries. Conditions were wet and cloudy at the time of the collision according to the ASP Report.
