Travelers are advised of bridge work in northern Arkansas.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation has posted an update reminding motorist of ongoing closure of the Little Golden Gate Bridge at Beaver Monday through Thursday between 8 am and 5 pm. The Bridge will be open fully on the weekends as well as during major regional events.
Digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closures and detour routes.
Meanwhile in another announcement, ARDOT says the Highway 14 Bridge over West Sugarloaf Creek, just west of Lead Hill, has been reduced to one lane to allow crews to make emergency repairs.
The westbound lane on the bridge is closed now through 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 16. A temporary traffic signal will be installed to direct alternating, one-way traffic across the bridge.
During a routine bridge inspection, bridge crews found an issue that required an emergency repair, resulting in the westbound lane closure.
