Break in Winter Weather, Snow and Cold on the Way

After a couple of days of snow around the region, the next two days will see a break in the pattern before two more rounds of winter weather will hit the region with much colder temperatures.

Forecast highs over the next two days will be into the 50s though winds will still be gusty at around 25 MPH according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday night into Friday rain will return to the region along with a strong cold front that will begin a temperature plunge that will eventually see high temperatures in the teens and lows below zero through the weekend into early next week. In addition, rain will convert to snow by afternoon on Friday then another round of snow is possible on Sunday. Snow amounts of one to two inches will be possible with both rounds of precipitation.
