A theater which had been the anchor at the west end of the 76 Strip will soon be no more after sitting empty for almost eight years.
The RFD Theatre is being demolished by the property owner. The owner, Great Choice Investments, LLC, is a subsidiary of World Choice Investments, LLC, the owners of Dolly Parton’s Stampede and other attractions.
Branson Tri-Lakes News reached out to a representative of World Choice Investments, who said the move was focused on the safety of the community.
“While we do not have any immediate plans for development, it was determined that removing the former RFD Theatre would be the best and safest course of action for our business and for the community,” World Choice International CEO Jack Lawrence said.
