The Branson Tri-Lakes News, which published its last edition three weeks ago, may return soon.
According to a post on the Tri-Lakes News Facebook page, a group of local business people have bought the paper and state they will continue to serve the community. The post stated that they would post further updates on their Facebook page but plan to have the first edition out for the weekend.
KY-3 News reported earlier this week that the previous owners, Lancaster Management, had not paid property taxes over the last few years. The Taney County Collector's Office says in the KY-3 report that they owe just under $100,000 in property taxes.
Former Branson Tri-Lakes News Circulation and Mailroom Manage Pierce Fahr told Ozarks Dynacom News over the weekend that former employees had still not received final paychecks after the last edition of the paper was published on July 15.
More on the story will be reported as information is released.
